Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating New Homes Week 2026 and helping to increase visibility of the many benefits of new build homes.

More than 175 organisations - including at least 100 HBF members - took part, marking our highest level of participation to date. Over 100 news stories highlighted new homes and the campaign, while hundreds of advocates engaged on social media, contributing to an impressive potential reach of more than 290 million.

Our 2026 theme, The Power to Move, enabled us to cut through market uncertainty and position new build homes as an empowering choice for would be buyers - driving consideration and action by spotlighting the advantages of today’s new builds.

Influencer highlights

Authentic storytelling lies at the heart of New Homes Week- sharing real voices that educate and inspire.

We were proud to collaborate with a diverse range of influencers, including:

Our partners and supporters

Our campaign partners played a vital role in amplifying our message and championing the industry’s voice.

This year, we were pleased to work with Octopus Energy on the release of an updated Watt a Save report, highlighting the energy efficiency benefits of new homes and providing fresh data points for our members. This activity enabled us to secure trade media support for the campaign and provided new data points to support key messaging.

Alongside our influencer activity, Zoopla delivered targeted consumer activity that resulted in a 23% uplift in search sessions. Combined with social content and developer sponsored editorial reaching two million consumers, this drove a 7% increase in traffic to the Zoopla New Homes homepage. On-site articles were supported by additional marketing activity including content, CRM and social, which delivered a 28% uptick in applicant leads compared to the previous week

Rightmove generated more than 3.5 million impressions across email, site banners and LinkedIn, and published new content showcasing new build benefits - 7 reasons a new build could be right for you – including a buyer case study. This resulted in strong engagement from its active buyer audience, and incremental clicks to New Homes Week content and its New Home search page.

Halifax Intermediaries secured two op-eds in Mortgage Solutions and supported the campaign on LinkedIn. Meanwhile, a joint release with Close Brothers Property Finance, highlighting challenges facing SMEs, was picked up by Development Finance Today, Housebuilder, Showhouse and The Intermediary.

Looking ahead

New Homes Week 2027 will return from Monday 1 February 2027.
